Silica Gel Transformer Breather - Moisture Control Solution
Scope of Application and Installation
This product is an air purification device designed for use with the conservator tanks of oil-immersed power transformers, reactors, and on-load tap changers.
It is installed vertically on the side of the transformer and connected to the air inlet/outlet port of the conservator tank. Theunit is positioned at an easily accessible height to facilitate operation and maintenance from ground level.
During transformer operation, the insulating oil expands or contracts due to temperature variations. The breather enables the intake and release of air during these volume changes. As air enters through the breather, the desiccant inside absorbs moisture, preventing humid air from entering the conservator tank.
Two functional types are available:
* Oil-Sealed Type (with oil cup)
* Valve-Type (oil-free, without oil cup)
Pressure Relief Valve Features
* Pressure Relief Valves: Rated IPX5 for water jet protection.
* Oil Guide Flange: Constructed from durable stainless steel. It features an adjustable installation distance, flexible lateral
movement, and 360-degree rotation for effortless and quick installation.
* Sealing System: Equipped with two rubber gaskets: an outer ring sealing gasket and an inner protective film.
* The inner protective film effectively prevents dust and moisture ingress during transportation and storage.
* Installation Note: The inner protective film must be removed before installing the pressure relief valve, while the outer
sealing gasket must remain in place to ensure a proper seal.
