Schneider GV2 series Motor thermal magnetic circuit breaker
Introduction
The GV2 ME, GV2 P, GV3 ME and GV3P motor circuit breakers are all 3-pole thermal magnetic circuit breakers, specially designed for the control and protection of motors, and comply with the standards of IEC 60947-2 and IEC 60947-4-1.
Wiring
The GV2 ME and GV2 P circuit breakers adopt the connection device of screw-clamped terminals
The GV2 ME circuit breaker can be connected by using ring terminal blocks or spring terminal blocks.
Spring terminal connections ensure safe, long-lasting and durable clamping, capable of withstanding harsh environments, vibrations and shocks, especially when using wires without wire ends. Each
The connection can be made with two independent wires.
Operation
When the motor circuit breaker is used for itself, local manual control is adopted. Remote automatic control is adopted when the motor circuit breaker is connected to the contactor.
Motor and personnel protection
The motor protection is provided by the thermomagnetic protection element in the motor circuit breaker.
The electromagnetic component (short-circuit protection) has an unadjustable trip threshold, which is equivalent to 13 times the maximum set current of the thermal break device.
The thermal element (overload protection) includes automatic compensation for changes in ambient temperature.
The rated operating current of the motor is indicated by the scale knob 4.
At the same time, personnel protection is also provided. All live parts have been protected and cannot be touched directly by fingers from the front panel.
Due to the addition of under-voltage tripping, the circuit breaker can be disconnected under under-voltage conditions. In this way, when the normal voltage is restored, the machine can be prevented from suddenly starting up because it needs to be restarted
The motor must be started by pressing the start button.
After adding the shunt trip device, the disconnection of this component can be remotely controlled.
The controllers of both open-mounted and enclosed motor circuit breakers can be locked at the stop position "0 "with four padlocks.
Because these circuit breakers have isolation functions, an appropriate insulation distance will be left at the disconnected position, and the actual position of the moving contacts will be indicated through the controller position.
Characteristics
Due to their universal installation method, these motor circuit breakers can be conveniently installed on any equipment: they can be fixed by screws or clamped on symmetrical, asymmetrical or a combination of both rails.
